MAYASA SULTAN Al SOWAIDI
Mayasa Sultan Al Sowaidi born in Kingdom of Bahrain, academic at the University of Bahrain and holds a doctorate degree from University of Grenoble in France.
In 2005, she began her journey with art. Since then she continued to exhibit her work in Bahrain and other countries abroad such as United States of America, United Kingdom, India, Italy and many Arab and Gulf capitals. She held her solo exhibition on The Art of Tea in Paris in 2019 during which she launched her book Legend of Tea. She received several conceptual art awards, the most important of which was the first (Public Vote Prize) from Sovereign Middle East and North Africa in of 2016 for a painting made of tea bags (The Tea Whispers) which was sold at Christie’s auction in Dubai. She also received several other awards.
